You send people to a company's website. They buy something, or sign up for something, and you are paid a commission. You are rewarded for sending customers to the company.

1. Join good affiliate marketing programs in the area you are passionate about. The trick is to identify the profitable ones.
2. Learn how and where to market these programs. Good companies do provide training/learning resources to their affiliates. Look for it.
3. Once you're fairly clear about which marketing actions you can manage properly, start doing it. Some of the popular methods used by successful affiliate marketers are -
Advertise through Google Adwords or some other Pay-Per-Click search engine, ezines and newsletters, classifieds, banners, or any other method you find rewarding.
Build an affiliate site. Publish a theme-based information-jammed content site. Monetize with the cream of affiliate programs. Blend in additional AdSense and other revenue streams.
